This year, Cowart Elementary is proud to join the AVID Elementary program!

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) supports the diverse needs of all students by strengthening their skills, knowledge, and behaviors. Through a focus on building strong relationships and student agency, AVID-trained teachers use WICOR strategies—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—to provide rigorous instruction and align teaching practices across all grade levels.
